URGENT ASSISTANT MENS CASUAL DESIGNERS REQUIRED - BRAND - LONDON - SHORT TERM CONTRACT TILL JULY- A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant designer to join a leading premium fashion brand based in London. Key Objectives: - Assisting the design of commercially viable casual wear styles, in line with overall design strategies and within the deadlines set by the development calendar and critical path. - To actively work across tasks within the casual wear design team when delegated. - Interpret trends into themes on a seasonal basis in agreement with the Creative Director / Senior Designer - To CAD to a professional standard for presentations (must be Adobe Creative Suite proficient)- Work with the Casualwear Senior Designer to source accessories and trims and produce graphics necessary for their development.- Ensure the product range delivers to the agreed brand values for each product. - Assist the Senior Designer in maintaining cloth and trim libraries.- Conduct regular shop visits and review competitor activity. - Continuously research new processes and materials, being aware of latest trends so these can be discussed and utilised in product development, thus ensuring products are in harmony with current trends and are constantly inspirational and desirable to customers. - Take responsibility for the production of drawings and / or product information for the sampling process of each product. - Undertake such further duties as your skills, qualifications and experience allow and/or may be assigned to you by the Company from time to time.Candidates must be available immediately to start or a weeks noticePlease provide a current CV and examples of work for reviewing.
