Sample MachinistLeicestershire6 Month Fixed Term Contract - Salary £17,500 Pro-rata Our client is a leading supplier based in the Midlands. Due to their continued success they now require an experienced Sample Machinist to make up cut garments to a high standard, sewing together the sample garments by the most practical method and to represent the approved specification (if available). Ideal Candidates Will; - Be responsible for the quality of the finished sample, ensuring that it will be able to be made up in a factory production environment- Possess previous experience as a machinist- Have the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels- Work well under pressure- Take responsibility for daily tasks- Possess the ability to read and understand size charts, details surrounding finished measurements etc- Possess good time management skills Responsibilities: - To use skills and experience on industrial sewing machines such as Lock-stitch, 3, 4 & 5 Thread Over-lock, Button and Button-hole & Blind Hemming machines amending stock garments.- To ensure the Supervisor is fully aware of any problems encountered when making a sample (pattern problems, make up problems) etc.- Ensure all work produced meets or exceeds the department's quality standards.- Ensure production targets are met.- To work efficiently and effectively as part of a team.
