Job Title: GARMENT TECHNOLOGIST
Job Definition: To liase with Suppliers and Buyers to ensure product is made to agreed standard
Duties:
- Responsible for fit, specification and quality of garments
- Ensure all garments conform to current legislation
- Review garments for fit and specifications
- Approve test reports
- Monitor deliveries at the warehouse to ensure quality of delivered garments
- Responsible for the sealing process
- Liase with suppliers regarding quality and attend fir sessions (Solving fit problems and quality issues with the garment)
- Do any alterations/in fit meetings to meet buyers specifications
- Carrying out production grading and issuing grade specs
- Measuring garments
- Monitor and approve size charts and grading with regard to minimum measurements and check sizing of garments
- Check measurements of sample requests
- Creating initial specs
Requirements:
- Fashion Degree
- 12 months to 5 years in a similar role
- UK experience gained with High Street Multiples
- Worked with UK Retailer
- Strong Communication skills
£25,000 - £35,000
