Job Title:  CREATIVE PATTERN CUTTER

Job Definition: 

• Responsible for developing all new patterns and sketches

Duties:

• Liaise with designers and machinists on initial sketches and advise on garment construction
• Maybe involved in costings and will liaise with designers
• Do any amendments to patterns according to client specs
• Maybe required to help on production patterns
• Attend occasional fit meetings 
• Understand trends and buyers requirements
• Measure garments to spec
• Need to be computer literate
• Be able to produce accurate and clear work
• Maybe required to help on production patterns
• Need to be technical to a degree as need to know how to produce garments cost effectively
• Work on own initiative to ensure new garments are made when required
• Either will be trained on Gerber, Lectra or Invastronica
• All P/C done on computer and any amendments to the patterns
• Grading to be done on system as well

Requirements:

• At least 2 years pattern cutting experience
• Attention to detail
• Concise and accurate communicator both written and verbal
• Strong time management
• Ideal Fashion degree

Ideally must have worked with UK suppliers or with a UK retailer

£25,000 - £40,000
