Job Title: LOGISTICS ANALYST
Job Definition:
- Manage the Supply Chain process from supplier to shop floor through continual assessment of procedures identifying ways the supply chain can be improved.
- Key interfaces with Buying & Merchandising, Distribution, Retail Stores and the Distribution Centre (DC).
Duties:
- Ensure that effective procedures are in place with B&M and the DC to ensure the fast flow of product from supplier to store
- Long & short term forecasting
- Manage the supply chain in regards to store openings, modernisations and closures whilst targeting and implementing ways to lower costs
- Assist in the planning of delivery frequencies, ensuring effective and efficient deliveries are in place to ensure speed to market
- Deal with all delivery and transport queries from the DC to store
- Communicate, liaise and negotiate with many areas of the business, particularly Retail, Group Logistics, Retail Ops and the DC’s
Requirements:
- Educated to degree level in a business related field
- Previous experience in branch allocation/merchandising
- High attention to detail
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Excellent administrative, organisational and PC skills
- Strong ‘problem solving’ approach
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate and influence effectively at management level
- Ability to prioritise, use initiative and perform under pressure
