Buying and Merchandising:
Job Title: ALLOCATOR
Job Definition:
- Allocate and replenish merchandise by store to ensure a continuous flow of goods to achieve profitable sales
Duties:
- Track, allocate and replenish stock to stores
- Communicate style/size level inventory needs to merchandiser
- Forecast availability by reviewing reports
- Monitor on-time arrival of deliveries to ensure availability in line with plans
- Work with the Merchandiser to create opening stock package for new stores
- Liaise with stores to answer queries on product availability and allocation
- Monitor/chase deliveries and communicate problems to Merchandiser
- Review store stock levels on a regular basis
- Complete weekly sales analysis on Monday morning
- Monitor sell-throughs and carry out range reviews on basic stock
- Suggest products for repeat orders
- In conjunction with Merchandiser plan stocks for promotions
- To be accountable for the distribution of designated departments
- Create reports on Best/Worst Sellers
- Transfer stock to maximise sales
- Regular store visits
Requirements:
- Educated to degree level in a business related field
- Possess solid experience within a retail environment
- Basic computer knowledge in word, excel and outlook.
- Strong communication Skills
- Proven planning and organisational skills
- Strong decision maker
- Excellent commercial awareness and retail experience/knowledge
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Demonstrate good attention to detail
